Bathtub Universe Map Guide
Map Overview
The Bathtub Universe arena is a multi-zone open map designed for free-for-all combat. Old Game Federations structured the layout to funnel players through high-traffic central areas while providing edge zones for safer grinding and quest progression. Understanding the map gives you positioning advantages in PvP, faster Dollar farming, and efficient G4 Quest spine collection.
The map received minor adjustments in Update 16, including clearer markers for G4 Quest objectives and tweaked raid arena boundaries. This guide reflects the current post-update layout.
Central Arena — High-Traffic Combat Zone
The central arena is the map's heart — the highest player density zone where FFA combat peaks. Spawn points cluster near the center, meaning fresh players enter directly into combat range. This zone offers the fastest Dollar farming through constant kill opportunities but also the highest death rate.
Central arena tactics: position just outside spawn invulnerability zones to catch newly spawned players, use AoE morphs like Dark Speakerman for multi-kills, and retreat to edge zones when overwhelmed. S-tier morphs dominate here — bring your best unit from the tier list.
Master controls for quick repositioning between central sub-zones. The arena features elevation changes and obstacles that block ranged abilities from morphs like G-Man Phase 4.
Edge Zones — Safe Grinding and Quest Areas
Edge zones along the map perimeter offer lower player traffic, making them ideal for beginners learning how to play and players grinding with budget morphs. Dollar earnings are slower but deaths are rarer.
Edge zones also host G4 Quest spine locations marked after the Update 16 rework. Follow quest UI indicators to collect spines sequentially through these perimeter areas. See the G4 Quest guide and Chief Scientist Mech guide for spine route details.
Code redemption and morph switching happen anywhere on the map — the code button (left side Twitter/gift icon) is accessible in all zones.
Raid Arenas and Special Locations
Raid arenas are instanced combat zones accessed from specific map entry points. Update 16 rebalanced raid difficulty and rewards, making raids a viable Dollar farming alternative to central PvP. Enter raid zones with at least an A-tier morph for efficient clears.
Special locations include the G4 Quest NPC in the central zone, morph shop terminals for Dollar purchases, and quest checkpoint markers added in the Update 16 map update. The morph shop is where you spend Dollars on premium morphs — plan purchases with the Dollar calculator.
Study the map layout to rotate between central farming, edge questing, and raid completions for the optimal Dollar-per-hour loop described in our farming guide.
